Conduct a search for "motorcycle backpacks," and undoubtedly the name "Kriega" will be mentioned on many online forums.  Their backpacks (and gear) are highly regarded, and can be found here: www.kreiga.us.  Online you can find video overviews and quick run-downs of these bags.  Although this information is helpful, I wanted a deeper dive into these bags.  Specifically, I wanted to know more details about the dimensions of the internal/external pockets, laptop size capacity, etc.

After obtaining the R20, R25, and R35 backpacks I thought it may be helpful to provide a bit more information on each bag.  The information below is not intended to declare one bag as superior to the others, rather it is to provide a more comprehensive overview in choosing the appropriate bag for your needs.

Kriega Backpack Comparison!

Harness Comparison

To the left is the R20's quad-loc lite design with a single lock.  In the center is the R25, with a slightly more sophisticated quad-loc design (two locks).  Finally, to the right, the R35 takes it one step further with a solid panel held together by a zipper (detailed pictures are below).

R20 Harness - Deep Dive

The R20 has a single lock mechanism which Kriega refers to as quad-loc "lite".

The single lock is made out of high impact plastic.  The single lock is not adjustable.  Adjustments must be made on the upper and lower portion of the harness.

The upper portion of the harness has a series of dots, which is very helpful to even out the strap length.

Of the three backpacks, the R20 is the only one with a removable waist strap.

R25 Harness - Deep Dive

The R25 has the double lock mechanism which Kriega refers to as quad-loc.

Similar to the R20, the locks are made out of high impact plastic.  The locks are not adjustable.  Adjustments must be made on the upper and lower portion of the harness.

Keep in mind: The photos were taken after weeks/months of usage.  Signs of wear may by evident within the photos.  These are truly field tested bags.

R35 Harness - Deep Dive

Of the three backpacks, the R35 has the most complicated harness mechanism.  The straps are adjoined with a heavy duty zipper.  Adjustments must be made on the upper and lower portion of the harness.
